If you obtain your apps properly via the Google Play Store there is no need to chase down and find APK's to update your apps.
Yes I understand there is APKs out there but looking for the proper answer to this question waiting for the Play Store to update your app is the best method. This avoids any concerns of downloading from a un reputable source since in most cases you have to allow the installation of 3rd party apps via Settings which leaves you vulnerable to problems.Android police has the APK of apps that are being updated but aren't in the playstore yet.
