App data on SD Card dissappeared

Let me share the entire turn of events. I had apps installed where in their settings, the data was configured to get saved on a memory card. I connected my phone to PC one day, took backup of my Internal memory only and then disconnected my phone from the PC. Then, I unmounted my SD Card, took it out of my phone and then rooted my phone which formatted my phone. Everything went fine. I put back the SD Card. But, upon reinstallation of those apps whose data used to be stored on SD Card, they are not able to find the data anymore. Please please help me out.

Inshort, data of apps stored on the SD Card is lost !
