App data transferral through an sd card

I have an xperia z3 and a 128gb microsd, i have transferred all internal media (photos, contacts, apps/app data) onto the sd card. I have received a new xperia xz for Christmas and have used a full backup transfer which moved everything over but app data, as its on my micro sd card i am unsure as to how i am going to move apps/appdata onto the new phone?

Welcome to Android Central! Simply moving an app's data folder won't necessarily work. You may want to try using a backup app like Helium instead.
