App didn't install but still taking up my phone space

[Android Central Question]

I am using Redmi Note 4x(rooted). which has 32 gb storage.. recently I wanted to install a game which has a apk of 2.6 gb. During the installation my mobile got restarted and when it booted up the app wasn't installed but my storage was taken up. 2.6 gb of my storage is gone now.. Tried clearing cache from twrp recovery menu. Restarted multiple times and nothing seems to work.
It will be a huge help if someone can give me the solution.

Welcome to Android Central! Use a file manager app like Total Commander to look for any .apk or .obb files related to the game and delete them.

What did you download, and where did you download it from? It's risky to download apk files from random sites, since that's a great way to get malware (especially if you're trying to get a paid app for free).
