App download popup?

Just got the new m8 (Verizon) and there are occasionally these pop ups with reviews and download links for certain apps (amazon and slacker radio off the top of my head). I looked at what was running the window in the task manager and it was in a settings window. Any idea what this might be and how I can turn it off? Thanks

Welcome to the forums.
My first guess would be if you are using free versions of apps, they pop up with ads for other things.
