App in the list, but not openable?

Under Settings>Apps>Manage Apps there is an app called "Ringtone Trimmer". I want to use it, but its not in my menu, and from here, there is no open app button. help?

I have the same issue. I have two Desire phones, one I see the trimmer no problem when I set a song as a ringtone. it pops up as the third option.
On my second Desire, it is just not there.
I check the apps and it is shown as there, and running, just can't seem to access it.
I have checked both software versions of the phone, both are 2.2 but some difference in the kernel etc, not exactly the same code.
Any ideas how to make this accessible?

Think of it like a plugin. It does not run by itself but is dependent on the music player as it's platform.

just use Ringdroid from the market
