Galaxy A15. My updated app "Business Calendar Event TODO" updated 3/2026. Says updated to Android A15, etc. It shows in my app draw and can open and use it put it will not initiate a notification. It does not show up in my app notification screen where I have all my other apps. Is there a fix for this?

Yes, it is to notify not silent. The app does not show on the app notifications screen. All my other apps I get the notifications. This is very strange; just this one app .I don't get it. Perhaps maybe if I can find an old version it might work?

Make sure that app is not put to sleep, go settings>device care >auto optimize isn't enabled

Under battery tap in device care make sure background usage limits it not put to sleep and adaptive power save isn't on or power save isn't on

Long press the app >info tap>battery tap>is it set to optimize? Try unrestricted

Being bored I did a little testing and this issue isn't restricted to this particular calendar app.

I downloaded the OP's app, set all required permissions and indeed it does not show in 'App notifications' in Settings.

I have no real use for calendar apps these days and I just use Fossify Calendar, solely as a simple calendar 🗓️ and not for setting tasks, events, reminders etc, and on checking I found this is also a 'no show'.

I then downloaded DigiCal, and as the above another 'no show'.

Next I downloaded both Google Calendar and Samsung Calendar and guess what, they DID show up with the usual options etc.

Now whether this is a Samsung bug or a deliberate policy regarding certain phones and other third-party calendar apps I'm not going to speculate but that is what I found.

Samsung A36, Android 16 (One UI 8.0)

If everything good with Samsung and Google calendar probably something with settings on the 3rd party apps I would think

I think I only get Google Calendar notifications via Gmail, but I could be wrong. I probably get two notifications a year, and if they cancel my birthday and Christmas, I'm done 😊
