App pinned not to be cleared

Hi - I've been using an LG G3 & have now graduated to a Huawei Honor 8.

The LG had a very useful feature in the app switcher called "App pinned not to be cleared" which once activated prevented individual apps from being swiped away.

I thought this was an Android feature but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it on the Huawei.

Am I missing something ? If I unlocked the Huawei could I access that feature ?

I'm not sure about EMUI 4, but in EMUI 5 you can do it but pressing the lock button in the recent app switcher.

With your app running, tap Recent in Navigation Bar, find your app, draw the app downwards and you will get a taplock at the app. Will keep it running!
