App that disables using a headphone microphone

[Android Central Question]

I have some headphones that are still functional for output, however the mic is broken. When using them, my phone doesn't recognize that and still tries to use the headphones mic and so it doesn't receive any input. Is there a way or an app to use the phone's mic instead of routing to the headphones mic? Thanks
