App updates not showing in Google Play Store

[Android Central Question]

Dear everyone,

For some time now my google play store is not showing that apps have updates (newer versions). It simply shows "Uninstall" and "Open". Some apps, e.g. Messenger, tells me to update to actually use the app. However, no update functionality is showing in the Google Play Store.

I have tried the following:

- Manually updating Google Play Store app
- Clearing cache & data of Google Play Store
- Clearing cache & data of Google Play Services
- Wiping dalvik & cache in recovery

I am running Lineage OS 14.1 (Nougat 7.1) on a OnePlus One.

If anyone has any other suggestions to fix this, I would be very thankful.

So you're rooted? Sounds like something may be up with that ROM... While there is a Rooted and ROM community here you're more likely to get faster more precise responses at XDA Developers. That site has a bigger community for that type of thing. You could also become a member here and post in the Rooted and ROM section, here in the general help section you might be hard pressed to get an answer.
