I too noticed this. Even the ones I have checked off for automatic updates. Interested in seeing the responses to this.

I guess it could be, I usually only see app update notifications when I load the Marketplace.

Why? The Market has nothing to do with the OS upgrade, and you don't need to reboot to see updates there. Just go to the Market and choose My Apps.

No that is not normal, you do not have to reboot your phone to get updates

Interesting. I have the Nexus S and too have noticed I no longer see any notification for app updates unless I load the market.

Just loaded the Market today and there are about 8 updates waiting. And THEN the icon popped up saying I had updates available. (And yes, I have it set to notify me when updates are available)

Reboot doesn't do anything for me. I just went to the market and received no notification just by visiting (I have in the past), went to My Apps and there were a bunch to update... yes its checked. This doesn't bother me at all. Just giving input.

Same here. Only see the update icon whenever I go into the Market.
