App won't display icon

I downloaded an apk app that appears on the settings app list. However, there is no way to open it because an icon did not appear on any of the home screens. Any ideas?

Which apk? Are you sure it's compatible? Be very cautious with apks from random sites -- they're a good way of getting malware.

Can check your app drawer, or maybe it's a widget can check there also.
