Not even sure if its possible but for the sake of stability I think it would be cool to use a volume button in order to snap pictures in landscape. Sure I'm biased as a "lefty" but I'm sure even a "righty" using their left index finger would probably have more stability and comfort when compared to that awkward hold you have to switch to in order to free up a finger...

It would really feel like a point and shoot. Just a thought...

Sounds as simple as reassigning the binding of the volume keys when the phone is in landscape camera mode. Should be doable for a developer making apps for a rooted phone.
