Applying part of the update

I'm running cyanogenmod 12 with twrp recovery. Nexus5
I'm wondering if i can update only the bootloader and radio from the nexus 5 marshmallow factory image without touching system and other stuffs. I don't want everything to go back to stock.

That shouldn't be a problem.

I currently have the Marshmallow bootloader and radio on my Nexus 6 from when I flashed a 6.0 ROM. I'm surrently running a 5.1.1 ROM and don't have any issues.

I know with radio flashes you don't have to wipe the entire phone. All I've done was wipe caches (and do a backup) before flashing new radio. As far as bootloader, not 100% sure. I've only done that when flashing a new ROM.
