Hello everyone!
My mother just got her new Smart phone today and I was tasked with setting it up. Ok first there was no problem at all but when I wanted to check the playstore for updates for the preinstalled apps it wasn't showing any installed apps just a complete blank "may apps" page. When browsing the playstore by itself it does show the little green icon indicating it does acknowledge the fact that this app is indeed installed on the mobile. The web based version of "my apps" is also blank. It As I'm considering myself somewhat knowledgeable when it comes to android I tried my very best to solve that problem and have no reached the conclusion that I can't without some help.
Description:
Playstore "my apps" list is blank and doesn't show any (pre) installed apps
Device:
Samsung Galaxy S4 black edition GT-I9515 Android version: 4.4.2
Playstore version: 5.0.38
Steps already taken:
- countless reboots (doesn't hurt to try right?)
- manual launch of all preinstalled apps
- force stop, clearing data and cache of Playstore with and without reboot
- deinstalling all updates for the Playstore with and without reboot
- checking for synchronisation errors of the google account (nope)
- removing and adding the google account with and without reboot
- installing a random app -> works and this app will then be displayed under the my apps page
- deinstalling and reinstalling a random app -> see above
- manual update of a preinstalled app -> works and this app will then be displayed under the my apps page
- download manager check
- factory reset
As you can see I gave it my best shot, does anyone else have an idea (without root)?
Cheers and have a lovely day
