Apps don't work after update

Update - Thanks everybody, narrowed it down to Substratum conflicting with the updated apps so just removed the theme for the apps that kept crashing and I'm all good now.

So I just installed the latest security update and some of my apps crash right away, YouTube and Gmail being the two I've noticed so far. The same thing happened after I did the November security update and I had to do a factory reset to fix the problem. I really don't want to have to do a reset after every single update. I'm on a Note 8 with Verizon. Thanks for any help.

Did you try clearing the cache of the apps that crashed? Maybe that would help.

I too am rocking a Verizon Note 8 but haven't had any issues after the security update. I did notice that YouTube updated yesterday along with a few other apps. Maybe that's all you need.
