After I rooted and put my nexus into tablet mode now a lot of apps aren't compatible in the play store. A lot of the apps I had on my nexus before like Pandora and now it says they are incompatible. I unrooted and reset the tablet and it went back to normal and after I rooted again the apps were back to normal and I could download them again until this morning when I turned it on and started browsing the play store and almost all apps are incompatible with my device. Anyone else experiencing this and now a fix?

Yep.. Changing the device DPI breaks market compatibilities often. Something to watch out for.

Hi,

I'm a little curious about the ability to change from phone mode to tablet mode? Is that really possible? And if so do you have to be rooted to get that option.

And as you mentioned changing DPI?

Is that also possible?

Thanks

Team Eos has achieved tablet mode at stock DPI (all apps now compatible). Check out build 8 for this new feature.

I've been running 160 dpi on the CM10 Kang, and I haven't experienced any compatibility issues thus far. Which apps specifically are you having problems with?

Edit: adding screenie

oxy.. how you liking tablet mode on the 7? Wasn't sure if the screen would be 'just right' or seem off. Did you do it with the CM10 Kang just changing your build.prop?

I like it. I haven't experienced any problems yet. I set the system font to large, some other stuff is a bit small (other than system fonts), but not enough to change it back. Screen is a little off with a few things, like there are some blank spaces in the play store home page, and some unusable real estate on the home screen at the top and bottom, but not a big deal to me. I prefer the expanded functionality of the tablet UI.

And yep, just set the DPI to 160 in the build.prop

Edit: haven't been getting to use it as often as I like though, lol

Haha nice.. At least someone's enjoying it :)

I'm gonna try out tablet UI eventually, maybe when I get some free time tomorrow lol.

Fwiw, I totally eff'd it up by changing the LCD density back to 213... don't really know what happened, but I had to reflash twrp via fastboot, and fastboot boot the twrp.img to get back to recovery. After changing the density and attempting to reboot to set it, it booted to a blank screen and I couldn't do anything.

No biggie, except that my recently purchased 1.79gb Dark Knight Rises, and 529mb Amazing Spiderman games had to be downloaded again because I hadn't backed up since then. #damnit
