apps not showing up on playstore

Hi guys, I switch between the note 4 and nexus 6 and my wife needed a new phone and I gave her my nexus 6, so when she added her Google account the apps that needed to be updated wouldn't show on the playstore, this is all after a factory reset that was done, the apps that needed to be updated are on the phone and still work but they don't show up on the playstore to be update and the funny thing is I used my Google account to log back in and they show up. Does anybody have an idea what is going on?
