Apps on SD card

I have a number of apps on my SD card, but whenever there is an app update they revert to internal storage. Is this normal and is there anyway around this?

Apps are designed for, and function best, if left on the device. Only a small part of the app gets moved anyway, the guts stays on the device memory so now you have this fragmented app trying to work. Corrupt your sd card and your app is history.
Your better off moving all your media to the card. That way you can just pull out of the device crashed and still have your pics, and save space in your internal memory...

Many thanks. I didn't know that it was a partial move only. I will rethink my app location.
