I sure don't know many kids in that age group that own a Xoom.

Nope but I let my 9 and 5 year old use my Xoom when I need some quiet time, so those apps work for me!

Same here my four yr old loves them. Hell she plays riptide and pinball.

Yeah, the vast majority of the apps out there (for both pads and tabs) are kid orientated, but there are a slew of other apps that are extremely useful to adults.

What are you looking for? If you ask, people will guide you. Believe it or not, tablet optimized apps aren't the only ones that run great on a XOOM. Many of the apps already out there work wonderfully.

I'm an electrical engineer (work on the East Coast for a large semi maker in Silicon Valley). My XOOM has successfully replaced my notebook for work. The notebook is rarely powered up anymore... maybe once every 5 to 6 days. But I must admit I use PocketCloud extensively when I need to compile code or simulate something.
