I've had my phone for about 6 months and it's been great, but all of a sudden I'm having an issue. When I go to the RAM manager it is using 1.5 GB - 1.7 GB, and there are a bunch of active apps running. This is new. Apps used to close by themselves and my RAM manager used to be at about 1 GB, and every once in a while there would be 1 - 2 active apps. I'm wondering if I accidentally changed a setting? Can anyone help? Thanks.

Do you notice any particular apps that are kept open in RAM that weren't there before? Does this persist after a reboot?

Yes, all the apps that I use are kept open in RAM now, where as before there would only be 1 or 2. I tried rebooting, but that didn't solve the problem.

It's actually not normal for only one or two apps to be open in RAM. Do you use a RAM cleaner app? Or were you using one of the Developer Options (the one that kills an app as soon as you leave it)?

If you activated them, Developer Options is found in the main System Settings menu, just above About Phone. They're not activated by default--you have to go to Settings>About Phone and tap Build Number 7 times to activate them.
