Apps take for-e-ver to update

Since upgrading whenever I have an app update and run it, it will take several minutes for each app to install. For example I just had 3 apps that needed updating...Facebook, HTC dot view, and Netflix. Ran update all, and while downloading took 3-4 seconds, it took a total of 17 minutes to update all 3. It will sit at "installing...." most of the time. I factory wiped when I updated, and I've cleared cache 2-3 times since. Anyone else having this issue?

It may be due to the ART runtime switch, which does app optimization during install and is normal to take longer because of it. This is a benefit over all because it's only a one time thing, unlike DALVIK that had to do it each time the app started. It's supposed to result in faster app starts. Though, I haven't seen mine take that long to install after downloading an update, so not sure if that's what you're seeing or if it is an actual problem.

I've seen the same thing. I believe it's because of art although some apps take much longer than others, Facebook being a bad one. Not sure why.

I have that happen and I also noticed that when I turn my phone on every morning the same app can update 2 or 3 days in a row. Don't get that one either.
