apps to media area issue?

I was trying to move some of my apps to my sd card this morning and then I had some weird thing happen.My phone gives me the option to move to media area,it doesnt say sd card.There is an 8GB card in there with 5GBs free.
Anyways I moved it to the media area and then could not find it on the sd card or the phone storage.What is weird too is that I couldn't bring it back from this media area and so I could not see it on my app drawer.
I went ahead and just deleted the app and re downloaded and it went straight to the same thing couldn't see it on app drawer just up on apps list but no option to move it back can anyone tell me what this is?

I've had the issue a time or two where it doesn't show up in my app drawer or on my home screens (if I had a shortcut). From my experience it has to do with the SD card not being properly mounted. Go into your settings and unmount/remount your SD card and see if that doesn't get them to show back up. And as always, if that doesn't fix it, power cycle the phone.

still hasnt worked with unmounting I'm going to back up and formatt the card and see what happens.

ok formatted card,and also mounted and un mounted and nothing,about that power cycle I actually haven't done this in a about a week but it was happenning since the last power cycle anyways so I doubt that is the problem....any other ideas tried to search over at xda but found nothing out there.
