apps will not download

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Vibrant from T-mobile, was able to download apps on my phone but for some reason, it will not update or download apps. But works on my sons phone. Please help?

Go to manage applications and then to market. Clear date and clear cache. Reboot then try to download something.
