April security update for US unlocked model rolling out. US unlocked S20 Ultra on Verizon here.

Super impressed again on delivering update on unlocked model before carrier version. Great job Samsung.

Just FYI, not all US unlocked models will be getting since carriers still have to certify. Based on recent history some carriers take longer than others. US unlocked model on TMobile probably going to get last. If you need update immediately, put Verizon sim from any of your friends or family and restart. Though with work from home that might not be an option.

Downloaded this morning and was also impressed that the unlocked version was updated already. I have a Verizon ultra but flashed the U1 unlocked firmware the day I brought it home.

Yeah that technique only works for US unlocked model since it's same firmware, with T-Mobile version it's T-Mobile firmware and has to come from T-Mobile.

Yeah that technique only works for US unlocked model since it's same firmware, with T-Mobile version it's T-Mobile firmware and has to come from T-Mobile.

For the carriers versions may be, but I like that not to be done for unlocked models since I don't want to deal anything closely related to any carrier

Received this today as well on my carrier locked VZW Ultra. The autofocus on videos seems much improved!

Agreed. Sounds silly, but I've been using the weight loss app called Lose It. As part of the functions, you can scan barcodes for quick entry and today (after the update) I see much improvement when the app uses the camera. Other shots also look much better.

Prior to this, the AF was so poor when trying to scan, it would often take multiple attempts including moving the phone back and forth just getting it to focus. Sometimes, the camera still wouldn't lock in the focus and I just had to do manual searches.
