Are all tyce c cables the same?

Aside from quality, and what's on the other end (type C to microUSB, type C to A, etc.), no.

What to buy? Everyone has favorites. I've never had a problem with Anker (at Amazon) cables, although I've bought a few braided no-name cable sets (10 feet+2X6 feet) and have no problems either. I've been using the 10 foot no-name to back up and update a Pixel 2 every month for months.

I have noticed on experience if you are putting in your USB slot to use Android Auto. The OEM charge cable works the best for it.

I found out for Android Auto (it may be my car) the best ones so it can work on my dashboard is the OEM ones. Other ones can give me a hard time once in a while.

For fast charging, the gauge of the wire must be lower. Cheap cables use the minimum amount of copper to do under 3 amps from a standard old brick.
The suggestions above are good.

I find it hard to get "cheap" cables.just couldnt buy those...because the cheap cables in Indonesia are really cheap.like its $1-$2 per cable...

Thus i always get the same ones which came with the device or Aukey cables...
