Are open Chrome tabs stored in Samsung cloud?

I did something really stupid and reset my Note 8 to factory settings before making sure I had saved all open tabs in Chrome to Pocket.

I did however have everything backed up to Samsung cloud, all device data, etc. I made sure that I backed up last thing before factory resetting the phone.

My question is: Can I restore the Note from that Samsung cloud backup and will the phone come back with all app data (including chrome tabs) as they were before I did the factory reset?

AFAIK not all app data is saved to cloud, and Chrome tabs aren't included. However you can open Chrome on a PC and see the history of tabs you opened on your device.

You don't need to 'save' open tabs to Chrome. They are automatically added to Chrome's History as soon as you open them. Unless you turned off sync.

Ah ok I think I know what you mean now! Can you help me clarify?

When you go to Chrome history on a computer (say Mac), there are two sections on the upper left:

* "Chrome history", and

* "Tabs from other devices"

I was hoping to not have to go through my entire Chrome history, which includes other devices and I do most searching on my laptop, to find the tabs I had open on the Note. But that tabs section only has 8 tabs in it for the Samsung, all from yesterday. I know however that I had more than 60 tabs open when I reset the phone. Do you know why the tab information is incomplete like that? I noticed it with other mobile devices in the past.

Now what I understand you saying is that even though the tab history for the Note 8 is incomplete, I should still have a complete list of all websites I navigated to as well as all Google searches I did from the Note, as long as I was logged in and had syncing on at the time. Is that what you're saying? This should be accessible through the first section above, "Chrome history".

If that's what you're suggesting, do you know why the Chrome history would be complete when the device specific tab history is not?

Thanks for bearing with me, I am just trying to understand better how this works.

I would not know if why yours would be incomplete as I've never really needed to examine it. I just knew it was there. There maybe a setting to adjust sync times, but I don't think so.

If you're signed in to a Google account everything should sync across devices, you did mention Mac and I'm not sure if it would different on that but it wouldn't surprise me
