Are the pixels noticeable?

Coming from a QHD phone, HTC 10, is the OP5T's screen noticeably less dense pixels-wise? How sharp does text render?

If you hold the phone about 2 inches from your face, you'll notice pixels, but that's about it.

QHD displays are highly overated in cell phones, imo. All it's good for is VR. And with Samsung setting their resolution at 1080p, the OP5T actually has a slightly higher ppi than the S8.

I had the 3T and sent it back due to me being able to see the pixels, most noticeably on the icons on the home screen.

I now have the 5T, and even though the resolution is the same, this panel is better. I do not see the pixels like I did on the 3T. Thumbs up for this screen.

If you look at a side-by-side, they're pretty evident (I compared my outgoing 6P to my 5T).

I don't really notice it during daily use though, having moved from a long line of 4k display phones (my last 4 devices) now, I can say my 5T display is good, maybe not awesome, but solidly good.

Sure, you can't really see the pixels unless you're ultra-close, but the smoother lines and less dithering of the 4k display is evident, if you ask me.
I think the color temperature (even though I have mine on one of the "warmer" settings on my 5T) of the display is quite a bit cooler (higher value) too. I really seek out warm LEDs(2700-3000 max), in general, so this may be something not everyone notices.

Even side-by-side? I can hands-down see the difference between the old 6P and 5T displays.

I don't think it's very noticeable daily either though (it's the new-norm), I tend to think the color temperature is a more evident, on a daily basis...
