Are the sides on the white Note 4 painted?

I heard that the black note 4 has metal sides but the white one has the painted metal sides, is this true?

Yeah I have the black one and the sides of the metal is Black. It adds beauty and character to the phone. Even though I got the Black one, I must admit that the way the White one is done makes it look like a beautiful piece of white crystal.
