Are the watch bands interchangable?

I currently have the Samsung Active 2, 40mm. I am looking at getting the Samsung Watch 4, 40mm. Can I use my watchbands from the Active on the 4? I hate to have to buy new bands.

They will fit. The Watch Active 2 40mm has a 20mm band as does the GW4 so they will work. Even the larger GW4 models have a 20mm band now.

It appears that you can do that. At first I was going to say no as my watch 3 classic would work on the watch 4, but that's because the watch 3 classic used the 22 mm and the watch 4 is now 20mm across the board. The active 2 used the 20mm.

Thanks! I suspected that might be the answer but wanted confirmation. I asked the guy in Best Buy and he looked it up and told me no but I thought I had seen mentioned somewhere that you could.

He didn't look hard enough. As I said I was going to tell you no had that typed out and decided I better look since it isn't the same watch I have. Not all Samsung watch bands are compatible with the watch 4. I wasn't at lucky..I like leather watch bands so I had to spend another $45 for a good band.

I'm glad you asked, it made me look. I told my wife that hers wasn't compatible and they are. She was happy.

Yeah, I'm happy too! I have about a dozen watchbands in different colors and it nice to be able to use them on the new watch.
