Are there any apps that can improve the quality of videos I record?

My videos are generally taken indoors in less than optimal lighting. Then I email them to my laptop for viewing and saving. I am hoping for highest resolution and visual reproduction clarity.
Your thoughts are appreciated. I am have very low technical savvy...

I will throw in my 2 cents and suggest that there may not be an app to improve video quality. Clear, colorful HD video needs lots of light, just like with still photos.
