It's a transluscent frost color, not really clear or white. Minimal protection from impacts, but my tab isn't at much risk. I only use it while sitting on the couch or recliner. It makes the tab a little more grippy without adding much weight or bulk. Cut outs for various ports are good, and doesn't cost much.

cool! That's the exact same one I ended up ordering!

it's was supposed to arrive yesterday, but with the major snow/ice storm up here,
the post office is delaying delivery until tomorrow or maybe Monday.

does it look clear in person? the pictures on Amazon make it look almost grey.

It's not absolutely clear. Like I said, kind of translucent on the part that covers the back, more clear on the edges. There is a clear lip that comes around to the front edge, which keeps the screen from touching whatever flat surface you might lay it down on.

Until you put the case on the tab, it looks like looking through a frosted pane of glass. My tablet is the black one, so after I put the case on the tab, the case takes on a grey color. Don't really know how to explain it other than that.

thanks! I guess I'll just have to wait to see it in person. The post office's tracking website just updated... due to the "historical" snow, the case won't be delivered until Monday at the earliest.

While my bottom does sag a bit (the one in my jeans), this case fits nice and snug, no sagging.
