Are We Becoming A Cult?

Are we Evo owners becoming a cult like iphone users? I was watching the JerzyIroc videos and noticed how they exchanged EVO glances between Jerzy & the guy who got hit. They smile at each other when they realize they both have EVO's. I had a similar experience (less the accident) the other day when I saw a pissed off lady at a hotel yelling at the check-in girl because her room wasn't ready. When I saw her take out her EVO, I showed her mine. She went from super pissed off to happy for a few seconds, showed me her EVO (all decked out with a nice little case), smiled, nodded, and then went back to yelling.

So, is this a cult of phone users? CURSE YOU HTC FOR MAKING A DAMN COOL DEVICE!

No. Not a cult. Cults do stupid things. For instance like committing suicide or getting an iPhone or something.

I haven't had that experience yet ... but I am looking forward to it. Right now everybody is just looking at @ me like I'm crazy because all I do is talk about this phone ... it'll be nice to see someone who knows what I'm talking about !!!!!

I've never come across another person with the EVO (other than the lady who was in front of me on launch day). But I do get a nice feeling when I see someone with an Android device... well as long as it is something like a Droid or better, there is no excuse to have a cliq or something like that.

I would rather not compare EVO users to a cult although iphone users definitely are. After all, we don't mindlessly follow without thinking and making decisions for ourselves.

I think with every smartphone there is a little bit of a secret alliance between like phone owners. Similar experiences have happened to me with my palm pre. I'm looking forward to the super alliance of Galaxy S users... me eing one of them with the Epic ... can't wait

I have only seen one person with an evo but I didn't get to say anything cuz he passed by me on a skateboard. I have seen a few other android devices, especially the G1. I see so many iphones on my way to work and back tho. Lame.
