I have had this phone for 3 weeks and my oh my this thing is anything but a phone. In the last three weeks I keep up with my friends on every move they make via friendstream I don't miss a show or ever bored via tv on it, I know more then ever via news widget top stories from cnet, cnn, engaget, foxnews, google news and more. I am never ever bored via games and entertainment galore from the market and stuff I put on the SD Card. My buisness end couldn't be better via docstogo and email. Family catch recorded and streaming video of the kids via qik. Oh and I even got lost once driving and pow found my way via GPS.

So stop wondering if you should, the advantages outway the minor complaints. One hundred Percent the best 200 bucks I ever spent. Oh but better phones may be on the way, guess what, there will always be better on the way.

I was considering a tablet to take with me because I have to have a blackberry curve for work, it's a corporate thing, and waiting for my laptop to boot blows, we all know how bad surfing is on the blackberry, but found the EVO instead.

It's form factor is perfect for me, the screen size, speed, and capabilities allow me to roam anywhere and read books, listen to music, play games, surf the web, use kick tail utilities like the level, and the google sky app, just all around do everything device.

It is cheaper than a tablet with 3 or 4G service, the screen is large enough, and it's small enough to fit into my pocket. I love this thing.

I did buy the Siedio 1700 battery and it goes all day with moderate use. Last night I had 17 hours on the battery and it was at 50%... I am impressed.
