ARGH!!!! Cracked Screen!!!!

OK...I'm back from 2 road trips with this phone. My original plan was to try to return it to ATT and exchange for the original S4, but I was told they cannot accept returns for damaged product and my only option was to use the insurance for a replacement. However, after 2 road trips with my damaged S4 Active...I want to exchange it for ANOTHER S4 Active and not the original S4. Here's why: I loved using this phone in and around water!!! I went on a rafting trip and was able to take some awesome pictures and not worry about it getting wet. I used it at the beach and didn't get worried about the sand and waves. I went to the pool and tested the underwater aqua mode feature which was awesome! I love this phone!!! Even though it had a cracked screen it was still functioning.

I just put in my insurance claim for this phone so I can't wait until I get the replacement. I'm hoping they send me the blue one but if not that's ok as long as it's the active! In the meantime I need to find a case! LOL

You are brave. With a CRACKED screen I would have been very limited on any water activities, especially under water.
 
That's true, but I already knew I needed to replace it anyway through insurance. And I didn't want to ship the replacement phone to my hotel while on the road. It gave me a great opportunity to test my broken phone with regular usage by water activities. I was impressed.

I should be getting my replacement phone in the next day or two. This time, I'll make sure I put it in a case (even if its just one of those cheap ones available through amazon)!

Just an update...I received my brand new replacement phone from Asurion today. Same exact model and color!!! I'm a very happy camper. I was nervous they wouldn't be able to send me my preferred color but they did.

I did want to mention that if you're trying to replace a new phone like mine is (S4 Active) through insurance, it was very tricky trying to do it online which is Asurion's preferred method. For those that don't know, Asurion is the company that handles the insurance and replacement processing for most phone carriers. Their website claimed I had the original 4S in black, which is wrong. If I wasn't paying attention to detail I would've ended up with the original S4 instead of the S4 Active. I called and talked with a representative whom was able to process my claim for me on the phone . Then after my paperwork was processed with all necessary documentation, an email was sent asking me to complete my claim online. However, when I tried to complete the claim online, it again said I had the S4 in black. I called in again to a representative and she was able to correct it and specify the color I had. And voila...it arrived the next day...correct model and color. ;)
