I've been running Cataclysm since I got the phone and I love it. Will switching to ART make a difference?

It did for me....a marked improvement in overall speed and performance. So far, so good.

Did you give ART a try? If you are worried about it makes backup before switching and restore of the device starts having problems.

I did and I noticed a significant drop in battery life without any usage change. I can't be sure if ART was the culprit but I switched back nonetheless.

That's odd, I don't think ART would have been the problem. Aside from your battery issue, how did you feel the device performed with ART?

Same here!

Nexus 5-Cataclysm-Faux

Yesterday I flashed the factory images, and (very) long story short, I've got Cataclysm with Faux kernel running on ART and its much smoother. Because of it being so smooth, I can underclock even more without loosing performance! More underclocking = better battery = happy me
