They left out that this update has an app that will build you an island, and then it ****ing transforms into a jet and flies you there.
Don't forget the one that prints money

"It has 3g and the WiFi's..."
I forgot where I heard that one, but I love it![]()
That sounds like a band name
Ladies and Gentlemen.....3G and the Wifi's!
I still find it hard to believe that 2.2 can increase the phone's performance by 450% of whatever it was.
That is just ridiculous.
87% of all people are more likely to believe what you say when you include a random percentage.

I have to wait for an update that doesn't break root...So I'll keep this in the back of my mind.
"I want more geebee's..." "It has 3g and the WiFi's..."
29% of all people forget where they heard that one. But 97% of that initial 29% love it.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if this announcement/rumor turns out to be true, the Droid Incredible could be the first Android phone not named "Nexus One" to officially receive Froyo. Given that there's no word on the original Motorola Droid getting it, we're in good shape to be #1.
Way to go HTC, especially since the word on the street last year was that Sense UI would force HTC to delay its devices from receiving official Android OS updates. If they pull this off, it'll be quite a triumph.
Short answer yes.So 802.11n is basically a faster wi-fi, correct?
Hmmmmm.... To root or not to root. THAT is the question!
So even the games I play and things like that might not be as "choppy" with 2.2?
I just don't understand how this works since the processor isn't changing or anything. I'm not going to complain, though.
Sorry for all of the questions, I am a tech-tard.

Actually, if you know anything about JVM, you would understand it's possible.
Imagine using an old Pentium 4 and running a virtual image. You are running XP mode ontop of Windows 7.. k?
now.. imagine you replace that Pentium 4, with a newer chipset that supports virtualization mode acceleration such as the Core2 chips.. and bam, there's your 450% increase.
Android is not coded natively for the hardware it runs on. Android is a JVM, this way they can make the OS available to run on multiple hardware chipsets, drivers, etc.. with the JIT compiler, the image basically talks to the hardware quicker.
imagine the hardware being English and the OS being Japanese and the compilar being an interpreter who had a stroke. Replace the interpreter with a younger kid, and that's what the JIT is.
I finally get it.
I can't wait for my young, bilingual japanese kid!!!
ROFL! Can I opt for an exchange student too!
Hell yeah you can!
Why do you think they called it JIT? Japanese Interpretation Toddler.
