Sometimes a follow-up question is, 'why can't they just test more.' Consider it isn't just the unbelievable number of manufacturers, models, and software versions out there, what other software users have installed is a factor as well. Would be impossible to test all the variations. Recall a weird update getting out of MS some time back. Turns out, Windows users who had a particular application installed, and tried to plug in a Kindle to charge it, crashed the system. That's a pretty unique combo, but affected a surprising number of people.
