Asking for password randomly at least once a day

I have the LG V10 on AT&T updated to 6.0 Marshmallow. At least once a day (some times twice) it will prompt me to "enter password after 48 hours of no use" . It has done this since even before the 6.0 update. I have never went 48 hours of no use, let alone asking me once some times twice a day. I very rarely reboot it, and I understand when it asks for a password after a reboot, but not the random "no use in 48 hours" one. Any help would be great. I do consider myself an advanced user and I am at a loss, feel free to be "technical" with me. Thank you!
