Assistance needed Folder creation

I have a Moto G and need assistance

I am interested in creating new folders on my android phone

I have items in various folders I wish to place in their own separate folder as well as new documents/pictures
but cannot find out how to create an empty folder to put these items in to. I have tried touching the home screen
for a while but that does not do what I want. Is there an application that will allow me to create an "empty" folder
that I can place these items in to?

ANY assistance would be appreciated

Are you referring to folders on the homescreen, or directories in the internal storage filesystem structure? Folders on the homescreen are used primarily to group together app shortcuts, not files (although some phones do have the ability to create a widget that is a shortcut to a file, which could then be put in a homescreen folder.

If you're talking about the internal storage directories, then use any good file manager app like ES File Explorer to create the new directory.
