Hi everyone,

My wife had the Droid Incredible until this past Friday night that she went out with friends and returned home and the phone was gone. She looked for it everywhere, went to the places she was that night, checking again Saturday, Sunday and today. Saturday I called Verizon to have the phone suspended and by Sunday I called Asurion to replace the phone paying the deductible of $ 50.00 and I am supposed to get the phone tomorrow.

Tonight, a girl that was in that group that night, that was out of town this weekend, brought the phone to her.

Now, what is the way to handle this now, I just need to return the phone as soon as I get it tomorrow, call Asurion and ask for a refund? Is that possible? Or just I keep the phone. No idea, never had this problem before. :-\

I would call Asurion and explain what happened. Ship back the phone they send you and keep the original... if you want. I would rather have the original then a refurb. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't give you a refund as long as its the same phone they send you and you ship it back immediately. Only Asurion can give you that answer though. Worst case scenario.. you have a brand new refurb. :)

Thanks Cyber, that is what I was thinking. Just wanted to hear opinions here from the forum.

Yea.. nothing against refurbished.. I've never had any problems with them.. I'm using one now.. but for resale value its good to have the original phone. That way if you ever decide to sell the phone on ebay or something you can sell it with the box and still have the esn/serial numbers match.
