Asus phone stuck on power off screen

[Android Central Question]

I have an Asus phone, that is sitting on the Power Off screen. It was out off battery power so I plugged it in last night, and this morning it is still stuck on the power off screen.

How can I get it to either restart or shut down?

I submitted this question and i ] able to get the phone to restart by holding power and volume down until it restarted
