Asus ZenPad Z300m USB socket broken, will an Asus keyboard also charge the tablet

The micro USB charging socket is broken - I'm wondering if a compatible Asus keyboard - which apparently have their own charge socket (I may've been misled here) - can charge the tablet. This option, if it's possible, would usefully also provide a keyboard (my large fingers are not over fond of the onscreen keyboard).
I could probably get a keyboard quicker than a replacement USB socket and it would save tearing the unit apart to fit the socket or wastefully sending it to landfill.
This is, of course, all redundant if the keyboard will not also charge the Tablet when plugged in. Does anybody know?

I think it’s more likely to be the other way round, but if no-one here is able to help, it may be worth contacting the manufacturer.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you talking about the keyboard mentioned in this review? https://mytabletguide.com/asus-zenpad-10-z300m-review-perfection-has-a-new-address/. That looks like a Bluetooth keyboard, so it wouldn't connect via USB, and therefore wouldn't charge the tablet.

the port is the only way to charge the tablet. If broken, it is a good excuse to replace it, especially since it is no longer supported.
