AT&T and T-Mobile temporarily share networks

This is pretty cool of att and tmobile. They are sharing networks to help people by the hurricane.

Nope. Sprint helped stop that, in turn Att is about to do the same thing to sprint with the soft bank deal. Lol. But it was good to hear that they both came together under these circumstances. I love to see that, even if its for a moment

I don't see how AT&T would/could block the Sprint/Softbank deal. In AT&T case they were trying to buy out the 4th largest carrier in the US that used the same GSM technology. Sprint bought Nextel which is was GSM. T-Mobile trying to purchase Metro is CDMA.

In Sprint's case they are selling them self to a bigger company. I guess AT&T is afraid this would bring cheap cellular service to the US.

Sprint went to the fcc. If at&T can bring up a good reason why to stop it. I'm sure they can run to the fcc and do the same thing.

They could sure.. Anyone could go to the FCC with concerns but what Sprint went to them about was ATT is already huge so them buying out the 4th biggest carrier that had the same technology would just instantly spread their network (technically speaking) so it would make att even bigger so it would really only be worth getting att and Verizon due to coverage and network so Sprint could be shoved out of the market.

Sprint being bought share wise by a major holder who is only giving money but who also has stake in the company (not a network that is already setup using your standard where you only have to take ownership of the towers) is most likely not to be blocked. Att couldn't really go to the FCC and say Sprint would turn into a monopoly due to this buyout.. That wouldn't even be close lol
