So I got an e-mail and text message from AT&T saying they hope I'm enjoying my phone and it requires a 4G plan in order to function properly. I have the iPhone data plan currently on my line and have seen no issues using internet on my phone and I have been using the Inspire since release day. Has anyone switched their plan from the iPhone and seen an increase in web performance or data speeds?

att just wants us to lose our unlimited data, when i sold my iphone4 on wed and got my inspire thursday, they took off my unlimited with out even telling me and i had to go back today to have them put it back on as it was taken off 'in error' in their words.

i do not belive/or have experienced a differenc in speed since the switch of my data plan today.

No difference in speed changing from iPhone 4 unlimited to Inspire. Correction, the Inspire is much slower on the AT&T network.:'(

Wait--so you can keep the old iPhone plan?

I went to look into an Inspire but the sales guy told me I'd have to start over with a new plan.

Some good hints to remember. Former Iphone users. Keep your unlimited data plans when getting a new phone on att.

It's to your advantage not AT&T. By right they can not change your data plan since it has been grandfather. This is only to former iphone users from 3gs and before(3g and 2g).

I think since many people jailbreak there phone when we had iphones to unlock tethering since it wasn't available in the states at the time. ATT got upset that they wasn't getting paid and blah blah and blah. So now setup a 3 different data plans.

But whatever.!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I just purchase a Inspire and kept my iphone data plan(unlimited data). And no problems here.

It's funny. I got the Inspire the day in released and made it a point to tell the person working with me in the store that I wanted to keep the unlimited data plan that I had been grandfathered into.

It wasn't until I left the store that I realized I had not only no unlimited data, but no data PERIOD. I called CS and raised 9 kinds of hell, then the next day I went back to the store I had bought the phone from and raised a little more hell. By the end of the week I was back on my unlimited data plan.

But, I'm sure my story and your story being so similiar is just an odd coincidence (/*sarcasm*)
