AT&T Galaxy S4 & bluetooth headsets for driving

Good Afternoon:

Have a question.

When I connect up the ear piece & someone calls me, I'm hearing the person calling me thru both the ear piece & the phone speaker.

If i am correct, the ear piece should over ride the speaker correct?

What am I missing? A setting?
