When someone tries to send me a picture through text messaging, sometimes I get a completely grey square with a orange triangle with an exclamation point in the middle. If I tell the person to resend it, it sometimes gives me the same grey square or the picture will go through. This just started happening frequently recently. About a month ago, I did not have this problem whatsoever. How is this fixed? Thanks

I suggest you to pull the battery out while its on and wait 30 seconds before putting it back in. Let me know how it goes. If the problem still persist, please contact AT&T, or go to cooperate store and have them look at it.

Same thing happens on my Samsung Galaxy S3 only after the upgrade to Android 4.3. Resets/battery removeal does not help. Anyone find a fix?

Im also having the same problem. I contacted at&t today. They couldnt really figure anything out but going to be getting back to me. Another thing i may try is a new sim card also but i doubt that will fix it.

They never call me back ever!!! They tell you that just to get you off the phone

I did the reset and reboot and also went and got a new sim card today. I will let you all know if it works out.

Surprisingly, I'm having a lot less trouble with this after the 4.3 update than I used to before. For me it's always been related to WiFi vs. cellular data. MMS pictures & videos must be received using cellular data, not WiFi. Sometimes when connected to WiFi the messaging app seems to try to use WiFi and that won't work. When you have the problem try exiting the messaging app, turn WiFi off temporarily and then go back into the app & see if the picture shows up now.

I found ou that the problem was that at&t had my service configured to only accept data files from at&t phones I had to dial 611 and have them fix it
