Yea I read this too. Pretty weird stuff. Just weird that you'd be able to buy it in stores, but not get it delivered online.

Sounds like a bunch of media hype/rumors to me. I was able to shop for one a few minutes ago in zip code 10001. Of course, I didn't complete the transaction.

Update: It appears the MSNBC story, in the link provided my the OP has been updated to say that they have resumed sales.

I would have to say who ever it was that answered the phone at ATT and said New York was not ready for the IPhone is no longer employed.....
