According to this Sammobile article At&t has the new released date for June 13 2019.

And by the way when they say "handful of people" had problems with it that means 4 people only reported problems with it.

"Despite Samsung’s silence, US carrier AT&T has announced that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Fold in the region on June 13. We wouldn’t advise taking that as gospel, though; that could be the temporary date Samsung told the operator. But until Samsung speaks out itself, it’s unconfirmed."

Where did you come up with the number 4?

It was in another article I read right after Samsung delayed the launch date. I will see if I can find it later.

I stand by what I said. There is a bunch of fake outrage (like always with everything) and as soon as the Fold launches that fake outrage will go away and everyone won't have a problem with it, and forget about it (except for the people who are dedicated to Apple) happens all of the time.

Was probably overblown but as a potential buyer I’m not sure fake outrage is accurate either. It was enough for Samsung to pull the phone and admit it needs some additional work. If they were confident that the issues weren’t real, they would have just released it.

No wonder I could not find in the linked article.

There's always an emotional charge, but fake outrage....I don't think so. I have no love or hate for any brand but Samsung blew this one. I say that from a QA perspective because that's what I do for a living. I can't prove it but it's most likely true that some people will lose their jobs or at the minimum will get penalized for this if it hasn't happened already.

Exactly. I saw surprise and concern - I didn't see "outrage". Maybe someone can point me to those expressing outrage over the failure?

Well, look at this link then you'll find it:

Here let me help you because I feel like being nice today which is surprising.

"...4 EARLY GALAXY FOLD reviewers report that only after one day of use, the screens on their devices broke. The Verge's Dieter Bohn says that a bump appeared on the crease of the phone, which quickly broke the screen - even though he did not perform any stress tests or anything - just normal phone use...."

Well that wasn't the original link and it says "at least 4" in the article

Yeah well I told you I was going to find the link later and I did.

Yes 4 isn't that a handful or few? As long as we are not told another number isn't this what we should go by? I mean when there is bad news and it's not official most people believe that don't we?

It's not 4.... It's at least 4 and that's within days. That's a high number based on the total population of review units. Who knows how high that would have climbed had not Samsung pulled them?

4 is not a high number

You keep saying 4....the quote is at least 4. Even we leave it at 4, that's a high number to break down in a matter of days out of the total population of pre release review units. I've never heard of review units with that high of a failure rate. That number would have undoubtedly climbed had Samsung pulled the units. If you want to call it a small number be my guest.

Re: AT&T new release date for Fold

At least 4 in just test units in that short time frame is a high number. This could have been another note 7 deal if Samsung released them, Samsung didn't delay release because it was a low number of issues.

Irregardless, I'm passing on this $2,000 beta generation fold phone.
