Well, with the release of the Note 7, I have decided that I am not going to worry about this one anymore. Not worried about MM update, not going to put effort into anything other than keeping it running until my Note 7 arrives.

If I wasn't as invested in AT&T as I was, I would switch to another carrier as I HATE the delays from AT&T on updates and their complete disregard for their customers and support agreements.

Anyhow, thanks all! :D

I concur wholeheartedly. When this phone dropped, I absolutely *had* to have it. As great of a phone as it is, AT&T has done a very poor job and releasing updates. I get it -- Marshmallow may not be the game changer that we think it is, but the fact of the matter is as a consumer, I should be able to experience it for myself. Very disappointed.

Well, AT&T even states that they will support these "flagship" phones with updates for 18 months (i believe, may be 12). But rather than doing as advertised, they just make us wait it out until they no longer have to do it. I'm calling AT&T today to see how much it would cost me to get out from under them.

Sorry to hear this. This phone is awesome after MM update followed by June security patch. I was planning to upgrade to Note 7, but after the updates this phone is great again. I will hold on to this for some more time and upgrade to unlocked Note 7 when released. By the way am with T-mobile.

I called AT&T Customer Support to see what we can do to lower my bill. The BEST they could do was to reduce it my $45. Now, that may seem like a good reduction, but when your bill hovers around $500/mo, not so much. Some of the idea's were to reduce my insurance plans to a lower tier that has higher deductibles for flagship devices (which is all we own). Another was to take me off my 30GB plan (which I am paying the price of 15GB) and put me on a 20GB plan. Stuff like that. Not really appealing.

I'm going to have to pay out the a$$ in order to get out from under contracts and installment plans, and I am beginning to think it will be worth it to move to another carrier like T-Mobile (looking around $2500 to cancel service).

Now, I get that going on the installment plans and all that is my own doing, but it's just getting out of hand. It was much nicer being on 2 year contracts and paying the subsidized prices for phone. :(
